GUEST SPEAKER: CINDY TINKER

Cindy has been a social worker in the Cancer Clinic at Vanderbilt for almost 13 years. She has the privilege of providing counseling, resources, being challenged to think outside the box and lean into Jesus on a daily basis as she works with adult cancer patients and their families. Cindy says that when she started this job, God asked her and continues to ask her, “Cindy, are you going to trust Me?” And she has learned to respond, “Yes, Lord, I trust You.”  
What the Lord has led Cindy to do at Vanderbilt is not just a social worker job to her. It is a calling. Cindy has seen the Lord show up in ways she never would have imagined. The Cancer Clinic is a place where He brings her, time and again, to the end of herself, to remind her He is orchestrating her steps; as well as the steps of others.
